Who We Are

Mayank Walia, an eminent professional and a seasoned Subject Matter Expert in the realm of International Recruitment, stands at the forefront with over a decade of unrelenting dedication to the field of International Student Recruitment. His journey is underscored by a steadfast belief in the transformative power of education, a conviction that has shaped his illustrious career.


Mayank's impactful leadership journey began as the founding member of ApplyBoard, where for six years, he played a pivotal role in establishing the organization as a frontrunner in the international education landscape. His visionary approach and commitment to excellence during this tenure laid the foundation for his subsequent ventures in global recruitment.


In 2021, Mayank spearheaded the establishment of two successful educational ventures, Tangerine and Aariyah, both aimed at redefining the dynamics of international student recruitment. His strategic acumen, coupled with a comprehensive understanding of immigration law, is further reflected in his role as a licensed Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC).


Mayank's leadership is characterized by an unwavering commitment to fostering excellence and building robust industry relations. His proven track record of success serves as a testament to his ability to consistently drive outstanding results in recruitment initiatives. Mayank Walia's unique blend of expertise, industry insight, and dedication positions him as a visionary leader in the field, contributing significantly to the evolution of international education and recruitment.


As the College Director and President of JRS College, Mayank continues to propel the industry forward through groundbreaking initiatives, strategic alliances, and innovative marketing strategies. His impact extends beyond the conventional boundaries of leadership, making him not just a leader but a trailblazer in the dynamic landscape of international student recruitment. Mayank Walia's enduring commitment to educational excellence and global recruitment underscores his significance as a transformative force in the industry, shaping the future of international education on a grand scale.

Uri Carnat currently consults with JRS in the position of Board Advisor. He participates in strategic planning, the execution of education partnerships, and organizational expansion.


Since 2001, Uri has served as a consultant inside and outside of the education sector.  Prior, He has served as Director - Strategic Partnerships with ApplyBoard, facilitating international education recruitment agreements in Canada and Australia, and working with schools to maximize their international recruitment efforts.  Previous, he opened IDP Education offices in Canada and served as Country Director, leading the student-recruitment partnerships and IELTS testing in Canada and Latin America.  Earlier, he was North American Regional Director for an international group of language centres, responsible for 12 schools in Canada and the US.


Born in Halifax and educated in Montreal, Canada, he has 20+ years of education leadership experience, with specific focuses on recruitment, student services, operations, finance, and contracts.  He enjoys building senior-level industry and government relationships and presenting at national and international events. Uri has traveled extensively in his roles, engaging with stakeholders and students from North America, Europe, Asia, the Middle East, Latin America, and Australia.


Dr. Anju Bajaj, Chairman of JRS College and STEM Advisor/Educator at the Archdiocese of Winnipeg, is a distinguished educator with a remarkable track record of achievements. 


She has received prestigious awards, including the 2022 Asian Women of Winnipeg's Distinguished Service Award and the Prime Minister's Awards for Teaching Excellence. Dr. Bajaj has been recognized for her outstanding contributions to education, receiving the Outstanding Science Educator of the Year award from the Bioscience Association of Manitoba in 2018 and the Science Teaching Award from The Science Teacher’s Association of Manitoba in 2017. In 2020, she was honored with the Global Citizenship Award for Educators from the Manitoba Council for International Cooperation. 


Dr. Bajaj is renowned for her strong commitment to advancing STEM education, inspiring students and fellow educators, and making a lasting impact on the educational landscape.


Yana Peregudina is a seasoned professional with over 13 years of experience in consulting, regulatory affairs, compliance, operations, and strategic advisory roles within the career colleges industry. She is recognized by the Ministry of Colleges and Universities as a Compliance Monitor for career colleges in Ontario. 


Yana is the founder of ComplianceCorner.ca, a platform that currently serves more than 30 clients in Ontario, British Columbia, Alberta, and Manitoba.


Yana is known for her ability to build strong relationships and collaborate effectively with governing authorities. Her expertise has been acknowledged through her nomination as a finalist for the 2023 Women of Inspiration™ Awards.


Yana holds an Honours Bachelor of Administrative Studies from York University, along with certifications in Project Management (PMP), Change Management (CCMP), Advanced Business Process Management from the University of Toronto, Lean Six Sigma from the University of Toronto, and ISO 9001:2015 Requirements (QMS – Quality Management Systems).
